In her first season as head coach, seventh season as a coach on the team, Jessica Carter is excited about the upcoming season and the players returning to the team. “Our team is predominantly composed of upperclassmen, and I am eager to witness their leadership and skills in action. They will play a crucial role in guiding and mentoring the younger players who will need to rise to the occasion and fulfill some big responsibilities. I have so much faith and confidence in their abilities to lead us forward. Let’s go, Lady Warriors,” said coach Carter. Kami Culley (Sr.) is one of the more under-recruited athletes in Oklahoma. A versatile utility player, Culley has shown she can play multiple positions including third, first, shortstop and the outfield. “Kami possesses an impressive batting capability, known for her ability to hit for power. Moreover, she is truly one of the most dedicated and hardworking athletes I know. Kami deserves an opportunity to shine and should certainly be on the radar of all college coaches,” said coach Carter. Lydia Wells (So.) may only be a sophomore, but she is a multi-sport athlete who can play catcher and anywhere in the field. With good pop and her bat and academically one of the top performers on the team, Wells is poised for a great season and high school career. Another senior to watch this season is Kenna Goodvoice. With excellent athleticism, Goodvoice has the ability to be a real difference maker for the Lady Warriors. “Kenna is super athletic, plays several positions, and has always come in clutch for us at the plate. We are excited to see how her final season shakes out and I hope college coaches see the true potential she has so she can continue to play at a higher level,” said coach Carter. The first scrimmages start on August 4th with the first regular season game coming on the road to Kiefer High School. The regular season will wrap on September 30th at home against NOAH.
