OUTLOOK

The Warriors fans are excited to see this team take the court. The all-gas, fast-paced offense is exciting and head coach Trent Cantrell is ready to see this team go to work.

“We are a high-energy, fast-paced team. We hang our hat on effort and execution. We want to be hard to guard, and guard hard. Our team mantra is WE over me. It is not about you, it is about US,” said coach Cantrell.

One of the top players in the area, Chance Watashe (5-7, Sr.) makes his return after averaging 18.5 points, 4.0 assists, 2.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals a game. Watashe will break into the 1,000-point club this season and is ready to lead the Warriors to post season play. Elijah Boyd (6-1, Sr.) is another player taking the court for his final year of prep basketball. Boyd averaged 10 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 2.0 steals last season. Boyd will play a major role in the team’s overall success.

Branden Smith (6-2, Sr.) and Bryce Rowland (6-4, Jr.) are two forwards who can hurt you with their inside game or step out and make you pay from the outside. Smith averaged 6.0 points and 4.0 rebounds while Rowland averaged 7.0 points with 5.0 rebounds. Their production on the boards is crucial.

Malaki Hardy (6-4, So.) continues to impress with each outing. Hardy’s style of play fits the Warriors philosophy making him a nightmare to match up against at forward. Noah Green (6-4, So.) is another big man at forward who can finish at the rim. Mr. Consistency is Devin Breazzeal (5-10, So.) at point guard. Breazzeal is a reliable player who makes good decisions with the ball.

Other players to watch include Carter Hogue (5-10, Jr.), Jonas Boyd (5-9, Jr.), Chandler Roney (5-10, Jr.), Andrew Edwards (6-2, Sr.), Jayden Sanders (6-2, So.), and Malachi Shaw (6-0, Sr.).
